How To Download Smartmusic

 

SmartMusic is a program with interactive exercises for wind, metal, string, and percussion instruments, all designed to improve your skills as a musician. It can even be used by vocalists, who use their own bodies as an instrument.
When you open the program, SmartMusic will check your microphone to adjust the sound so there are no errors as you practice. The program can be used with 18 different instruments, so you don't have to worry about anything but improving your technique with these customized 'private classes.'
SmartMusic includes a large library with music you can use to practice. You can listen to the music while you play, increasing or decreasing the tempo as needed or isolating a certain part to work on with more focus.
SmartMusic not only helps individuals get better, but can also teach students who play in ensembles thanks to its 'Accompaniment' mode, which plays the parts of other instruments in the score at the same time as the individual student's.
And of course, the program also lets you record and review practice sessions so you can evaluate your own progress and see how you improve.

The program belongs to Education Tools. SmartMusic.exe, Music.exe, SmartMusic2010.exe or SmartMusicStudio.exe are the frequent file names to indicate the SmartMusic installer. How To Download Audio From New Smartmusic

Good morning!

We will be going over SmartMusic in class on Thursday, so if students are able to bring their computers or tablets to school that day it would be helpful. I will take them step-by-step through completing an assignment and we will have time for a Q&A in each class.

Smart Music Free

  1. Home Computer – go to http://www.smartmusic.com/support/downloads/
  2. School Laptop – follow the instructions below:
  3. Take Laptop to school
  4. Restart the laptop
  5. Login using normal login
  6. Go to the bottom left hand corner and click the four squares
  7. Click on the search bar ( magnifying glass) and type in SOFTWARE CENTER
  8. Once software center has been loaded, go to available software
  9. Scroll down under available software and find SMART MUSIC
  10. Once you found SMART MUSIC click the box next to it and click install
  11. Now do not click anything. The software will begin to download. This should only take up to 5 minutes. It may take longer
  12. Once installation is complete go back to the four squares and find the search bar again ( magnifying glass) and search smart music. It should be an available option, click on it and the program should open up.
  13. From here make an account or login using the credentials you already have, enroll in a class and you are done.

Regarding microphones, some computer/instrument combinations need them and so do not. I would recommend going into SmartMusic and selecting something to play in the program and trying it out before purchasing a microphone.

  1. Look to the left-most column under your picture for where it says “Find Music”.
  2. There are several options (solos, exercises, method books, jazz improvisation, etc.)
  3. Select one of these headings.
  4. Search for your instrument and then select a solo or exercise you would like to play.
  5. Select “Open” and then “Start Take” to test the microphone.
  6. If your instrument does not pick up well (notes you think should have been correct are marked incorrect), you will want to purchase a microphone. If your instrument picks up well (all notes are green that were played correctly) then you do not need one.

When we begin having weekly assignments, please follow the instructions below for accessing them.

  1. In the main window, look where it says, “Classes” and select the class you would like to do assignments for.
  2. Under the heading, “Assignments”, there will be a list. Select the assignment you would like to complete.
  3. Select “mic check” for the first assignment you do.
  4. When complete, select “Start Take” and begin working on the assignment. You can do as many takes as you would like until you get a recording and a score that you are happy with. I will not see the number of takes you do, only how long you have practiced an assignment.
  5. When you have selected a take you like, select “Submit”.
  6. You’re done!
